Hounslow Youth Service review
The amount of money the Council receives from central government has been reduced every year since 2010. This means we have a lot less money to spend on activities and projects for young people.
The Council are proposing to reduce the youth budget by £650K. It is proposed that the remaining £212K is used to contribute to services for the most vulnerable young people such as:
- Those who have emotional and mental well-being needs,
- Those at risk of anti-social behaviour and substance misuse
- Young carers
We are inviting young people and the local community who use or have an interest in the youth services delivered across Hounslow, to share their views on the proposed changes.
Your views and ideas are important to us as we believe consultation and public involvement are at the heart of good decision making.
Please attend our Focus Group Meeting on Thursday 19 January 2017 at 6.30 – 7.30pm at The Hanworth Centre.
